About Us
How We Are Funded
Packard Community Clinic is a not for profit
501(c)(3)
organization. Eighty-five percent of our revenues are obtained from
fees and third party insurance payments for medical services that are
provided. Because 40 percent of our patients do not have adequate
incomes to pay these fees and do not have insurance coverage, these
revenues do not cover the cost of providing services to our patients.
We receive small grants from civic organizations, such as the Kiwanis
and the Rotary. We receive a community development grant from the city
of Ann Arbor for low income Ann Arbor residents. We have received a
grant from the Pfizer corporation to support our counseling program. We
also have a collaboration with the Washtenaw County Health Organization
to provide mental health and psychiatric services on site to Packard
Community Clinic patients who have been diagnosed as seriously and
persistently mentally ill.
The remainder of the revenues we receive are
from
the
many individuals in the community who have supported quality health
care for all for many years. Ten percent of our budget comes from our
community supporters. As the need for medical services has grown and
the costs of providing those services continue to increase, we are
increasingly dependent on the generosity of these contributions from
the community.
There is truly a community that
makes Packard
Community Clinic live.
